Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hairo (“Hairo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Hairo mobile app. By using Hairo you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Photos you provide. The selfies you upload are processed to generate your hairstyle results. They are stored in private storage and are never publicly accessible.
• Account information. You can start anonymously. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive a user identifier and your email address to secure your account.
• Subscription status. Purchases are handled by Apple/Google and our provider RevenueCat. We receive your entitlement status — never your card or payment details.
• Diagnostics. If the app crashes or errors, we collect technical diagnostic data (via Sentry) such as device model, OS version, and a stack trace, tied to your user id.
• Usage. The generations you create and basic app activity.

How we use your information

• To generate hairstyle results from your selfie and deliver them to you.
• To provide, restore, and manage your subscription.
• To keep the app reliable and to diagnose crashes and errors.
• To respond to your support requests.

AI processing

To create your new look, your selfie and chosen style are sent to Google’s Gemini API, which returns an edited image. We do not use your photos to train our own models.

Storage & security

Selfies and results are kept in private storage buckets. Generated results are delivered only through short-lived signed URLs after verifying your subscription. Data is encrypted in transit. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.

Service providers

We share data only with processors that help us run Hairo:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
• Google (Gemini) — AI image generation; Google Sign-In.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing us. See how to delete your account. Deletion removes your profile, selfies, generated results, and history.

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data. Contact us at hairoaisupport@gmail.com.

Children

Hairo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.
